  27. 7 would be considered a pretty decent return.  But 14.4 is a lot different
  28. than 28.8, so I am not sure the number tells you much about what a V.34
  29. modem would do for you.

  31. You ought to see if you can pick up a Sportster with 33.6 from a vendor
  32. who would let you return it if not satisfied.  Then see if you get decent 
  33. connects to your ISP.  Modems normally connect best to their kin-folk.
